Dali tie-dye
With a history of 1,000 years, Dali tie-dye is a Bai folk art where cloth is tied and dyed in plant juice. The blue shades and patterns on fine cloth show the beauty of Mt. Cangshan and Lake Erhai.

Batik Art
Beeswax paintings on clothes tell the "tropical stories", where T-shirt patterns predict the weather, especially monsoons.
Cultural similarities
Yunnan brocade and Malaysian batik both use curved lines to signal rice terraces, or ocean waves.
