This year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1931-45) and the World Anti-Fascist War.

The war of resistance in Yunnan was a vital part of China's fight against Japanese aggression and served as a strategic link between the Chinese and Pacific theaters in the Eastern Front of the global anti-Fascist struggle. It was also the forefront of the China-Myanmar-India campaign against Japanese invasion. Though 80 years has gone and the battle smoke has disappeared, the heroism of the martyrs endures. Among the first three batches of national-level memorial sites and relics of the war of resistance recognized by China's State Council, 10 are located in Yunnan.

To remember history and honor the fallen martyrs, let us journey through these 10 wartime landmarks in Yunnan province, tracing the scars of war across this land and paying tribute to the unyielding spirit of resistance!
