Yunnan-Vietnam coffee event kicks off in Ninh Binh, focusing on World Heritage sites

As part of the World Heritage Tour Program initiated by Mekong News Network, a Yunnan-Vietnam coffee event kicked off in north Vietnam’s Ninh Binh province on September 20.

The cultural event is going on under the theme of “Admiring Scenic Wonders with a Cup of Coffee: Yunnan and Vietnam Folks Gather in Ninh Binh.”

The Trang An Landscape Complex in Ninh Binh is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its dramatic limestone mountains, clear rivers, and hidden caves.

The karst landscape of Trang An reminded the event attendees of the Stone Forest (Shilin) in Yunnan, China. Listed as a World Heritage site, the Stone Forest is a magnificent 270-million-year-old collection of towering limestone karst formations.
