At around 10:30 a.m. on August 26, a landslide disaster from the Nepalese side caused heavy casualties and missing persons at the Gyirong border port in Shigatse, Southwest China's Xizang autonomous region. Immediately after the disaster, the Ministry of Emergency Management dispatched and coordinated rescue and response efforts, and sent a working group to the site to assist in the operations. At the same time, the Rasuwa district in northern Nepal also experienced severe flooding, with roads, bridges, and power facilities damaged. The video report is filed by a Mekong News Network correspondent based in Nepal.
