China and Thailand look like belonging to the same family, and this is well understood and agreed by peoples in both countries, said a group of Thai media influencers who visited China's Yunnan province on October 13.

In front of a paper-cutting artwork bearing the words "China and Thailand are one family," the Thai media professionals practiced speaking this Chinese phrase again and again.

"That China and Thailand are one family is a concept we have always upheld," said Sudathip Chamsena, director of the southern branch of the National Broadcasting Services of Thailand. She noted this means a common topic in reporting and also a cooperation opportunity in exchanges.

Sudathip added Thailand and China share many similar cultural customs, and festivals such as the Mid-Autumn Festival and the Spring Festival serve as bridges connecting the friendship between the two sides.

During the talk, she asked Chinese media reporters which places in Thailand they had visited and which Thai foods they liked. She believes that mutual understanding often begins with these details.

Sudathip hoped to bring what she saw and heard during this visit back to Thailand, and looked forward to more exchanges and visits between media professionals of both sides in the future.

"With frequent exchanges, we will understand each other more deeply and our friendship will grow stronger," Sudathip concluded the talk.
