Int’l attendees see wisdom in Tiangong Kaiwu, praise China's clean energy
The “Tiangong Kaiwu, Connecting the World” Dialogue on High-Quality Industrial Development took place in Xinyu city, east China’s Jiangxi province, on October 8.
The forum gathered around 120 international leaders, academics and business executives, and they discussed on how to integrate China’s traditional industrial heritage with clean manufacturing, so as to strengthen global cooperation and drive green industrial transformations.
The forum leveraged the legacy of Tiangong Kaiwu (The Exploitation of the Works of Nature), the famous 17th-century Chinese industrial encyclopedia written partly in the region. Attendees discussed how to align the principles "following objective laws" and "utilizing natural resources" with the focus on sustainable manufacturing.
Hadji Dabo, Director-General of the National Minerals Agency of Sierra Leone, said that Tiangong Kaiwu records the wisdom of the Chinese nation—a nation that understood very early how to comply with objective laws and rely on human wisdom to develop and utilize all things.
"We look forward to deepening cooperation with more Chinese enterprises in the upper, middle, and lower reaches of the new energy industry chain, transforming resource advantages into development dividends, and contributing to the global green energy transition," noted Hadji Dabo.

Anousak Phongsavath praises China's clean energy in an electric car.
"The industrial advantages of China and Laos are highly complementary, and the potential for cooperation is enormous," said Anousak Phongsavath, Director General of the Institute for Industry, Commerce and Energy under the Lao Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
Anousak added that China has advanced lithium battery technology, a complete industrial chain, and a broad consumer market. Jiangxi's Xinyu, in particular, has a highly competitive lithium battery industrial cluster and possesses full-chain R&D and production advantages.
In the future, Laos hopes to use Xinyu's lithium battery industrial cluster as a cooperation window to promote coordinated development, resource sharing, and mutual benefit in regional new energy, noted the Lao official.
