Indrananda Abeysekera, president of the Association for Sri Lanka-China Social and Cultural Cooperation, said he brought a copy of the fifth volume of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" during his attendance at a China-Sri Lanka readers' meeting for the book.
Indrananda said this at the recent 2026 Global Mayors Dialogue in south Yunnan’s Xishuangbanna. He thinks the philosophy of "being people-oriented and serving the people" offers profound inspiration for Sri Lanka and other countries in pursuit of development and stability.
