Masood Khalid: Pakistan sticks to neutrality on the US-Iran issue

"Pakistan has played an important role in facilitating the US-Iran reconciliation because we have always maintained a neutral stance," said Masood Khalid, former Pakistani Ambassador to China.

Khalid said this during the 2026 Global Mayors Dialogue·Xishuangbanna event, which was be held in south Yunnan’s Xishuangbanna Dai autonomous prefecture from July 14 to 16.

He noted that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, and that Pakistan and China have established an all-weather strategic cooperative partnership.
