The “Pompeii -- Epic Beneath the Ashes” special exhibition that collects masterpieces from the National Archaeological Museum of Naples, Italy, continues to draw crowds at the Yunnan Provincial Museum in Kunming.
Since its opening on May 1, this first major exhibition of ancient Roman civilization ever held in Yunnan has remained highly popular, attracting numerous residents and tourists who flock to the museum on weekends.

The exhibition features 108 sets of precious artifacts, including marble sculptures, frescoes, pottery, bronze wares, gold/silver ornaments, and everyday objects.
Preserved for centuries under volcanic ash, these artifacts offer a complete snapshot of the daily life, artistic aesthetics, and historical character of the ancient city of Pompeii, showcasing the brilliance of Roman civilization at its peak.
