A total of 23 media cooperation projects were rolled out at the opening of the 2026 South and Southeast Asian Media Network (SSAMN) Annual Meeting on July 14, together with 5 groups for regional creators.
To the tune of the well-known Yunnan folk song "A Running River”, the SSAMN partners from regional countries jointly unveiled the creator groups and cooperation projects in central Yunnan’s Kunming city, extending the "Together with You" invitation in a bid to attract more partners.
The 2026 SSAMN meeting featured an opening, a musical story party titled “Wind at 22°C: Melodies & Memories”, a seminar titled South Asia Amid Profound Changes Unseen in a Century, three parallel dialogues titled Dianchi Talk Beyond Coffee, and a roundtable forum for China-South & Southeast Asian media outlets.
Co-initiated by Yunnan International Communication Center for South and Southeast Asia and China Daily's Asia-Pacific Branch, the SSAMN was officially established on January 31, 2024, and it now has more than 170 partner institutions.
