According to Yingjiang Customs in west Yunnan’s Dehong prefecture, the exports of nut products from Yingjiang reached 183.55 tons in the first seven months of this year, and the nuts were shipped to nine countries and regions including Australia, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, and Tunisia.

As a key industry in Yingjiang County, the nut sector has, after years of development, formed a full-industry-chain framework integrating planting, processing, and sales. From primary processing of fresh nuts to diversified deep-processing, the range of products continues to expand.

"So far this year, our company has made its first exports to Australia, Bahrain, the United Kingdom, and Tunisia," said Su Busheng, Deputy General Manager of Yingjiang Shusen Agricultural and Sideline Products Co., Ltd.

Behind the accelerated export growth lies the support provided by relevant government departments. From orchard management and maintenance to processing and packaging, local customs authorities have provided guidance to help enterprises implement quality control measures.

"Previously, we had to go to the customs office to complete the procedure. Now the entire process is done online, and in the fastest cases, the procedure can be completed the same day. Both the time and cost have been reduced," said Su.
