The expo is not only an open window for China to share its development dividends with its neighbors, but also a major carrier for building a community of a shared future with the neighboring countries, said Ding Jie, a researcher at the Center for International Relations Studies, Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies.
Ding said this during the just-closed 10th China-South Asia Exposition (CSAE) and the 30th China Kunming Import and Export Commodities Fair in Yunnan province, adding the expo is also a core instrument for practicing the Chinese ideas of getting along with its neighbors: amity, sincerity, mutual benefit, and inclusiveness.
The CSAE bears both the value of economic cooperation and people-to-people bonds. Against the backdrop of anti-globalization, Ding noted the expo demonstrates the responsibility of China as a major country. CSAE is moving toward an ever-lasting upgrade of normalized cooperation, so that regional development opportunities can benefit more people.
