The 2026 South and Southeast Asia Dental Conference kicked off in central Yunnan’s Kunming city on October 18. More than 1,000 experts, scholars, and clinical practitioners from 10 countries attended the event.
During the conference, the Ninth People's Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine and the Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Kunming Medical University signed a cooperation agreement, opening a new path for Shanghai-Yunnan collaboration.
Representatives from the participating countries expressed their expectation to build transnational academic ties. Through faculty-student exchanges and scientific research innovation cooperation, they hoped to promote regional dental medical development and benefit the public.
