Following the assassination of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, by the U.S. and Israel, the U.S. Consulate in Karachi was stormed on March 1, while anti-war protests also erupted in multiple cities across the United States.

The "decapitation" strike launched by the U.S. and Israel against Iran on February 28 not only resulted in the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei but also triggered a chain reaction worldwide.

The storming of the U.S. Consulate in Karachi and the anti-war marches within the U.S. are direct spillovers of this conflict, signaling an escalation from mere military confrontation into a full-blown crisis of geopolitics, energy security, and social sentiment.

Residents in the United States condemned the government for circumventing congressional authorization to launch attacks. The assault on the U.S. Consulate in Karachi, which resulted in casualties, reflects extreme regional anger towards the U.S.-Israeli actions.

The actions of the U.S. and Israel have provoked strong repercussions in the international community. UN Secretary-General António Guterres condemned the move for undermining international peace. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov expressed support in a phone call with his Iranian counterpart, and China also voiced its opposition and condemnation.

The assassination of Khamenei by the U.S. and Israel represents a geopolitical explosion in the Middle East. It has not only ignited Iran's thirst for revenge but also fueled anti-war sentiments globally and regional instability.

The future trajectory will depend on the decisions of Iran's new leadership, the intensity of international mediation, and whether the U.S. and Israel are willing to pull back before causing even more terrible catastrophes.
