During the just-closed Spring Festival holiday that lasted from February 15 to 23, most areas in Yunnan province enjoyed fine weather, fueling a rise in the cultural tourist market.

Major scenic spots, commercial districts, and ancient towns in the province saw a surge in visitors, as locales presented diverse cultural activities.

Residents and tourists celebrated the holiday by observing folk customs, savoring local delicacies and much more.

Festivities are held for the Chinese year of the horse at the Guandu old town in central Yunnan’s Kunming city.

A lion dance is staged in Luliang county, central Yunnan’s Qujing city.

Central Yunnan’s Chengjiang county-level city has a Yi ethnic folk dance for tourists.

A tulip exhibition is rolled out in central Yunnan’s Kunming city for the Chinese year of the horse.
