Orchid mantis spotted in Pu’er

Fu Kaiyan, a villager in Lancang county, SW Yunnan’s Pu’er city, found a pink “flower” in her field, and she later realized it was a living insect.

Experts confirmed that it is an orchid mantis. This rare species is picky in living environment.

They usually inhabit flowers and plants, orchid species in particular.
