Mexican senator: Global South is key driver of world’s future

Yeidckol Polevnsky Gurwitz, Senator of the Asia-Pacific Committee of the Senate of the Republic of Mexico, said the Global South drives development, innovation, and peace, and its growth is a key force shaping the future of the world.

Polevnsky said this at the Global South Media and Think Tank Forum 2025 that was held earlier this month in Kunming, southwest China's Yunnan province. Some 500 representatives from more than 260 institutions across 110 countries, as well as international and regional organizations, took part.
