This is Dali | Episode 32: Huaqiao has ancient charm

Located in Yongping county, west Yunnan’s Dali Bai autonomous prefecture, Huaqiao village is near the millennia-old Bonan Ancient Road, part of the Southern Silk Road.

Strolling through the ancient village, visitors can admire an 800-year-old plum tree that dates back to the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368), while savoring braised chicken with rice. The dish has been listed as an intangible cultural heritage.
