Diplomats look into photos, archives on Yunnan-Myanmar Road

Diplomats at the seven consulates general in central Yunnan’s Kunming city have visited an archives and old photos exhibition on the historic Yunnan-Myanmar Road, better known as Burma Road in the Wester narrative.

The consuls from Myanmar, Laos, Malaysia and other neighboring countries paid their tribute to those who built the road, a war-time “lifeline”, with their flesh and blood.

The Yunnan-Myanmar Road played a key role in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1931-45) and the World Anti-Fascist War.
