Indian pipe thrives in Mt. Ailao

The rare plant of Indian pipe is thriving in the Ailao Mountains of Xinping county, central Yunnan’s Yuxi city, with its blooming period lasting for some 40 days.

Also known as ghost pipe or corpse plant, the Indian pipe is a white, one-flowered plant that grows in shady woods and saps nutrients from tree roots through fungi.
