Chen: China-Laos Railway increases Yunnan-ASEAN economic exchanges

Chen Yifen, Standing Vice President of Lao-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, said the China-Laos Railway makes travel much easier, and the ASEAN people will grow increasingly fond of Yunnan. "Lots of ASEAN nationals will visit Yunnan for sightseeing, investment and business, while more Yunnan people will travel to ASEAN via the railway."

Chen mentioned this at the 21st ASEAN Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs Conference (AOCEC) that opened on June 14 in west Yunnan's Dehong Dai and Jingpo autonomous prefecture. Around 400 overseas business leaders from over 60 countries and regions, including Germany, Thailand, Myanmar, China's Hong Kong and Macau, attended the opening.
