Openbill storks return to Pu'er to avoid cold

The openbill stork, often hailed as the "wetland fairy," has once again returned to Menglian county, southwest Yunnan’s Pu'er city, for wintering.

An openbill stork even rested side by side with a black-crowned night heron on a branch. Their graceful gestures added an ecological charm to Menglian's winter landscape.
