50 Chinese tractors exported to Myanmar via Yunnan port
A total of 50 China-produced tractors for heavy-duty trucks was recently exported to Myanmar via the Guanlei port on the Lancang-Mekong waterway.
Kunming Customs officers inspect the Chinese truck tractors to be exported to Myanmar.
Located in Mengla county, south Yunnan’s Xishuangbanna Dai autonomous prefecture, Guanlei is the water gate that links China to the Mekong countries, such as Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand.
"The truck tractors feature adequate horsepower, spacious cabins, and convenience for drivers, making them highly popular in the Myanmar market," said Ouyang Xing, head of Xishuangbanna Xingde International Freight Co., Ltd.
In the first five months of this year, Guanlei port handled 111,200 tons of cargo for imports and exports, representing year-on-year increase of 112.3%. The cargo values added up to 1.352 billion yuan, up by 176.7%.
