Delegates of South Asian political parties visit Yunnan

At the invitation of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, a 25-member delegation of South Asian political parties visited central Yunnan's Kunming and Yuxi cities from May 28 to June 1.

A 25-member delegation of South Asian political parties visits central Yunnan's Kunming and Yuxi cities from May 28 to June 1.

The delegates came to Yunnan from all the eight South Asian countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.

In Kunming, the delegates learned about Yunnan’s efforts in high-quality development and high-standard opening-up, as well as the provincial practices in Chinese modernization drive.

The visit also took the delegation to Yuxi, where they looked into the Yunnan experiences in rural revitalization, grassroots governance, eco-conservation, and cultural tourism.
