Ruili station handles 5.3 mln cross-border travelers in 2024

A total of 5,331,700 travelers had passed through west Yunnan’s Ruili entry-exit inspection station near the China-Myanmar border as of December 31, up by 49.78% year on year.

Over 701,600 vehicles were checked up by the Ruili inspection station that administers the border gates of Ruili, Zhangfeng, Nongdao and others.

The Zhangfeng gate, located in Longchuan county, handled 79,000 cross-border vehicles that transported 1.09 million tons of goods in 2024. The trade value exceeded 5.5 billion yuan.

The cross-border goods via the Nongdao gate reached 530,000 tons, and the trade volume reached 870 million yuan.

The Ruili station opened a Belt and Road access for 368 persons on China-Myanmar friendly exchanges, a sunshine access for 903 Myanmar pupils learning in China, and an emergency passage for 1,200 Myanmar patients.

“Our station has optimized the border inspection through the AR cloud platform, and the efficiency in customs clearance has been improved,” said a staff at the Ruili border inspection office.
