Vietnamese visitors have fun at Kunming snow mountain

Three coaches full of Vietnamese tourists set off from central Yunnan’s Kunming city the other day, heading for the Jiaozi/sedan chair snow mountain 150 kilometers away.

More than 8,000 snow tour packages of the Kunming mountain have been sold out in the past month. Besides individuals, an increasing number of Vietnamese companies have chosen snow mountains in Yunnan as destinations for team building at year end.

"Now I can have breakfast in Hanoi, take a cross-border coach to south Yunnan’s Hekou, and then ride a bullet train to Kunming for dinner," said a Vietnamese tourist surnamed Nguyen, adding she this is her third trip to Yunnan.

The Jiaozi snow mountain has seen the number of overseas group tourists increase by 77% year on year, and they mostly come from Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia and others.
