The 3,000-meter Wenhai lake lies in Yulong Naxi autonomous county, northwest Yunnan’s Lijiang city.

With snow-capped mountains visible from the window, the 3,000-meter Wenhai village in Yulong Naxi autonomous county, northwest Yunnan’s Lijiang city, has emerged as a new tourist attraction that blends natural wilderness with cultural charm.

"As city life continues to accelerate, the places with a slower pace are gaining popularity. At the foot of the snow mountain, I fall asleep to the sound of wind rustling through pine trees. This is exactly what attracts me to Lijiang," said Meng Yang, a traveler who has stayed in Wenhai village for quite a while.

On the viewing platform of a resort hotel beside the Wenhai alpine lake, Zhang Jin, a tourist from central China’s Hubei province, was taking pictures of the Golden Sunrise scene. "This is already the third morning I’ve got up early for the grand sight. Every time I see the sunlight ‘dyeing’ the snow peaks golden, I’m absolutely amazed," said Zhang.

Zhang Jin added that she enjoys staying at the foot of the snow mountains, where lakes and meadows are right outside her window—a novel experience. The hotel is nestled against the snow mountain and faces the lake, with each room featuring large floor-to-ceiling windows and a private balcony.
