Lijiang hosts mountain cycling at Chenghai Lake
The first leg of the Heading to the Mountains -- Lijiang Mountain Biking Race 2025
The first leg of the Heading to the Mountains · Lijiang Mountain Biking Race 2025 took place on August 31 at the Chenghai Lake shore in Yongsheng county, northwest Yunnan’s Lijiang city.
As a core event of Lijiang’s "Four Seasons, Four Races" brand, the Chenghai leg leverages the provincial-level wetland resources in the lake area, and it featured a 50-kilometer lakeside track.

The race was divided into six categories, attracting 342 participants from 23 provinces and cities across the country, with over 84% of the competitors coming from outside Lijiang.
With the conclusion of the Chenghai leg, the mountain cycling series will move to the shores of Lugu Lake in September and reach the Yulong Snow Mountain in October.
