While Labubu dolls seem a worldwide obsession, Panpan remains to be popular among the Dai people in Yunnan province.

Also known as the five-headed divine mask, Panpan is a mascot of the Dai ethnic group. It often appears in festive rituals for blessings and good fortune.

The Dai people wear the mask and dance to beats of the elephant-foot drum, celebrating festivals together and praying for peace.
