Ren Youfang, 72, is a native of Shanghai. In 2024, she and her husband arrived in Lijiang old town and settled down at the Ivy Courtyard in Puji village. There, they began their new life of sojourning.
"My husband suffers from respiratory diseases, and Lijiang’s environment and fresh air helped alleviate his symptoms," Ren said. After more than half a year of recuperation, the husband felt much better.
Sojourners have lively chats in Lijiang.
