Paukphaw tour: Salt Lake in Xinjiang is windy, beautiful

During the just-concluded 2025 Myanmar media tour to west China, Myanmar journalists visited the Dabancheng Salt Lake in northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.

“The lake-side area is so windy that it’s very difficult to take a photo. I came here just for a new experience,” said San Nu Khin, a reporter at the Sky Net TV.

Ei Thu Zar, program director of Monnect Group, said she saw the extraction of raw salt from the lake and learned other steps in salt processing, adding Xinjiang is developed and the lake is beautiful.
