Yunnan dishes loved by former Indonesian president

During the just-concluded Global Civilizations Dialogue Ministerial Conference, former Indonesian President Megawati Sukarnoputri visited China’s Yunnan province at the invitation of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.

There, the former president met with Dianxi Xiaoge, a Yunnan-cuisine vlogger she has long followed and loved. The two stepped into the kitchen together and prepared a meal of Yunnan home cooking.

"In the kitchen, we didn’t talk a lot, yet our shared love to Yunnan dishes transcended the border and linguistic barriers," Dianxi Xiaoge remarked.

The vlogger didn’t expect the Yunnan dishes she posted online would be so loved by a president. The Yunnan meal has brought China and Indonesia closer.
