The first batch of 1,054 overseas exhibits for the 9th China-South Asia Exposition (CSA Expo) and the 29th China Kunming Import & Export Fair entered central Yunnan’s Kunming city on June 9.

A truck carrying the Pakistani exhibits enters the customs-supervision warehouse at Kunming Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Center.

The exhibits are mostly stone and copper-plated handicrafts from Pakistan, and local customs officers examined the Pakistani products at the Kunming Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Center, where the expo is scheduled to open on June 19.

Kunming Customs officers open the truck to examine the expo exhibits.

"We have streamlined the customs processes by using a tariff-guarantee insurance, via which businesses only need to provide a one-time tax guarantee to secure customs clearance for all exhibits," said Qiu Yufan, a Kunming Customs officer.

Kunming Customs officers inspect the exhibits on site.

Qiu added that in the coming days, the exhibits from Thailand, India, Afghanistan and others will arrive in Kunming in succession.
