Lijiang gifts popular among tourists
Leveraging its ancient Dongba scriptures and local ethnic culture, northwest Yunnan’s Lijiang city has rolled out a series of creative products, offering tourists the Lijiang gifts that are memorable and shareable.
Cultural gifts are displayed at the "Lijiang Gifts" store on Xinyi street.
At the "Lijiang Gifts" store on Xinyi Street, tourist Chen Mingkai from Heilongjiang province and his mother were trying traditional lacquer fan dyeing and Dongba wooden plaque painting.
"We stumbled upon this place and hand-painted a zodiac wooden plaque with Dongba characters," said Chen, adding he will give it to his father as a present.

The Jinxiu Art Gallery, located in Baisha old town of Lijiang's Yulong Naxi autonomous county, is a window for tourists to learn about Lijiang and experience for Naxi embroidery.
Lan Xinmei, a tourist from Sichuan province, got a pair of embroidered earrings at the gallery. "They are very artistic, and I love the design that blends tradition with modern fashion," said Lan.
