Lijiang rolls out helicopter rides for travelers

The Lijiang Xingchen flight campsite opens in northwest Yunnan’s Lijiang city on February 18.

After more than 20 days of safety running-in, the Lijiang Xingchen flight campsite was put into operation in northwest Yunnan’s Lijiang city on February 18, a local breakthrough in offering helicopter rides to travelers.

The helicopter rides have allowed tourists to have a bird view of the Jade-dragon Snow Mountain, the Blue Moon Valley, the Baisha Ancient Town, the Old Town of Lijiang, the Tiger Leaping Gorge and others, lasting from 20 to 30 minutes.

The internationally renowned Bell 505 helicopter is used for the ride service, each costing 18 million RMB. The operator Xingchen rolled out some discounted tickets for riders during the opening days.

The Shenzhen-based Xingchen aviation is a low-altitude travel company, with its air-ride service covering tourist areas in Hainan, Zhangjiajie, Hunan and more.
