One River, One Family: Joyful sound of Laos by Thinlamphone

Come on, let's dance.
Come on, we're close.
Come on and on, let's make a toast.

The sound of Laos is for songs and chants.
The sound of Laos is hometown on my mind.
When the reed pipe is played, familiar sounds will flow over the land.

The lines above are taken from a newly-created song called “Sound of Laos”, in which Laotian singer Thinlamphone showed her pride in traditional Lao culture.

The Laotian song is released for the 2025 "One River, One Family" Spring Festival Cultural Exchanges in Laos and Thailand, which is going on from January 14 to 18.

With the Mekong River basin in the spotlight, the music video injects new vigor into the people-to-people and cultural exchanges under the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation (LMC).

As for the cultural exchanges event, it features a cross-border Spring Festival gala on the China-Laos Railway, a dialogue on the China-Laos cultural rail in Vientiane, and release of the 2024 top 10 LMC news highlights in Bangkok.
