A batch of fresh grapes weighing 27 tons was recently exported to Vietnam, marking the first time when fresh fruit from Yunnan has been cleared for export under the "batch inspection/quarantine" mode.

Kunming Customs officers inspect fresh grapes to be exported to Vietnam.

"The new model has shortened the export inspection cycle by 2 to 3 days for each batch of fruit," said, Li Hongyan, head of the Mengzi Xiangyue Import and Export Co., Ltd., which exported the grapes.

Statistics show that in the first five months of this year, Yunnan exported agricultural products worth 7.49 billion yuan to neighboring countries, an increase of 20.9%.
