Yunnan's foreign trade up 8.1 pct in first three quarters

Yunnan's foreign trade in goods reached 201.86 billion yuan in the first three quarters of 2025, up 8.1 percent year on year, Kunming Customs said on Oct. 29.
Specifically, exports rose 1.2 percent year on year to 69.41 billion yuan, while imports climbed 12 percent to 132.45 billion yuan.

ASEAN was Yunnan's largest trading partner during this period. The import and export value between Yunnan and ASEAN was 96.44 billion yuan, an increase of 14.4 percent. It accounted for 47.8 percent of the province's total foreign trade value.
In the first three quarters, Yunnan exported 14.74 billion yuan worth of agricultural products, up 6.6 percent. Among them, the export value of fresh cut flowers and coffee products reached 870 million yuan and 790 million yuan respectively, ranking first in the country.

The Guanlei wharf on the Lancang River section near Myanmar and Thailand has seen surges in cargo imports and exports.
The export value of electric vehicles, lithium-ion batteries and photovoltaic products reached 1.81 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 54.7 percent. The growth rate is 12.2 percentage points faster than that in the first eight months.
Imports hit a record high in the first three quarters. Yunnan's imports reached 132.45 billion yuan, up 12 percent.

Production raw materials such as copper ore, precious metal ore, natural and synthetic rubber made up 12.8 percent of import growth, while consumer goods such as fruits and aquatic products contributed 4.2 percent.
