National outdoor-sports event takes place in Yunnan

Opening of the 2025 China Outdoor Sports Industry Conference

The 2025 China Outdoor Sports Industry Conference kicked off in west Yunnan’s Dali Bai autonomous prefecture on October 24. During the four-day event, sports activities are also held in other Yunnan cities and autonomous prefectures, including Lijiang, Diqing, Nujiang, Kunming, Qujing, Chuxiong, and Zhaotong.

The event is hosted by the All-China Sports Federation and organized by China Sports Industry Group, the Sports Bureau of Yunnan Province, and the Dali Prefectural Government. Representatives of outdoor sports organizations from China, the United Kingdom, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, and Vietnam participated in the event.

Since the sports conference was first held in Yunnan three years ago, the province has developed more high-quality destinations for outdoor sports and focused on cultivating new formats of sports-integrated tourism. The number of sports enterprises in Yunnan has now exceeded 16,000.
