The "Tea for Harmony" cultural salon, organized by Yunnan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, turned out to be the highlight at a reception in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on September 26. The event was held to mark the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China that falls on October 1.

The Chinese National Day event was attended by Acting Cambodian Head of State Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian National Assembly Khuon Sudary, Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Wang Wenbin, in-Cambodia diplomats from other countries, Chinese business representatives, overseas Chinese, and others.

At the reception, performers from the Yunnan Provincial Culture and Art Troupe staged a classic dance "Splendid China" and an acrobatic show "Dream Life," which won big applauses from the audience.

Yunnan specialty teas such as Pu'er tribute tea, Dianhong tea, and De'ang sour tea were highly appreciated. Yunnan cultural inheritors talked with their Cambodia peers and the reception attendees, who were impressed by the Bai woodcarving, Dai traditional papermaking, and Naxi Dongba paintings.
