Bridge sections for the Chongqing-Kunming Railway join over the Niulan River.

Constructed by China Railway No. 2 Engineering Group, two bridge sections for the Chongqing-Kunming Railway joined together over the Niulan River on September 7.

The Niulan River bridge is the first major bridge along the Yunnan section of the Chongqing-Kunming high-speed railway. It has a length exceeding 500 meters and a height surpassing 120 meters.

With the closure of the bridge, the beam making for 83 major bridges on the railway’s Yunnan section has been largely completed. Over 96% of construction for the bridges has been finished.

The bridge is located at the trijunction between the Huize and Ludian counties of Yunnan province and the Weining county of Guizhou province.
