Two-way freight trains begin running between Yuxi, Vientiane
As central Yunnan’s Yuxi city rolled out its first China-Laos international freight train from the Yanhe Station on August 23, the Yuxi-Vientiane international freight service via China-Laos Railway achieved two-way operation.

The train loaded with 21 refrigerated containers of vegetables will arrive in Vientiane, Laos. From there, the goods will be transported by road to Thailand.

Since its inauguration in December 2021, the China-Laos Railway has transported over 64.5 million tonnes of goods by the end of July this year, including more than 14.9 million tonnes of cross-border cargo.
