International coffee event goes on in Kunming

The 2025 Dianchi International Coffee Culture Carnival was simultaneously launched August 9 on the eastern and western shores of the Dianchi Lake in central Yunnan’s Kunming city. The carnival will last till August 17.

With the theme "Brewing with the World, Coexisting with Nature," the nine-day carnival will feature over 20 themed activities and 80 plus performances, using coffee as a medium to showcase Kunming’s open, inclusive urban charm and its innovative practices in cultural and tourism integration.

This year’s event marks a dual breakthrough in scale and space. The number of globally recruited coffee trucks has tripled compared to last year, with over 100 coffee trucks lining the Dianchi Greenway. The collaboration between the eastern and western shores stands out as the highlight of the event.
