This year, Yuanjiang experienced its first butterfly boom on April 25, followed by a second on June 24. The third explosion is expected around July 10, lasting about half a month.
During the third explosion, an estimated 2 to 3 million butterfly larvae will emerge as butterflies each day, with the peak occurring around noon daily.
