The Simao district in southwest Yunnan’s Pu’er city has leveraged its natural resources and ethnic customs to integrate sports into local tourism over the years.
An international marathon is held earlier this year in Simao district, Pu’er city.
This allows visitors and residents to experience the excitement of sports events, while appreciating local natural landscapes and cultural charms.
The Pu’er landscapes and folk customs are so appealing that some tourists even chose to settle down in the city and became local residents.
