The forum was jointly organized by the Yunnan Provincial Government and the Myanmar Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Officials and business professionals from both sides had in-depth discussions on investment cooperation, people-to-people exchanges, border management and law enforcement.
The two sides agreed to expand the Yunnan-Myanmar trade and strengthen cooperation in transportation infrastructure, with the expressway and railway projects discussed.
They also agreed to ramp up cooperation in law enforcement and border security management. By increasing people-to-people exchanges, the two sides will jointly contribute to the China-Myanmar community of shared future.
Since its inception in 2013, the forum has emerged as an important platform for Yunnan and Myanmar to increase bilateral communication, mutual trust and multiple cooperation.
