Over 200 from 21 countries attend Yunnan forum on int’l communication

The third Yunnan International Communication Forum (YICF) opened on December 10 in south Yunnan's Xishuangbanna Dai autonomous prefecture, inviting in more than 200 scholars, officials and media representatives from 21 countries.

The third Yunnan International Communication Forum (YICF) opens on December 10 in south Yunnan's Xishuangbanna Dai autonomous prefecture.

Under the theme "Cooperation and New Paths for Future International Communication", this forum is jointly hosted by Publicity Department of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee, Xinhua Net, and Xishuangbanna prefectural Party committee and government.

Head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee Zeng Yan, Vice President of Xinhua News Agency Yuan Bingzhong, Minister of Information of the Kingdom of Cambodia Neth Pheaktra, President of the Lao Journalists' Association Savankhone Razmountry, and First Deputy Director of Egyptian Information Agency Mohamed Hussein lbrahim Mahmoud made speeches at the event.

At the forum opening, Zeng Yan and Neth Pheaktra signed a memorandum of understanding on Yunnan-Cambodia news cooperation.

The 2024 buzz words on China’s international communication were released at the main forum, and “3rd plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee”, “75th anniversary of the PRC founding”, “new quality productive forces”, “China tour” and others are on the buzz-word list.

At the three sub-forums, attendees focused on the international communication strategy for world heritages, the power of images in international communication and the new ecology of international communication with artificial intelligence.
