In the Malong district of Yunnan's Qujing city lies a once-unknown village: TuGuachong.

Due to the migration of the workforce and residents moving to newer homes, over 120 old houses in TuGuachong stood abandoned, turning the village into an "empty village."

Today, however, it has undergone a stunning transformation. The village now boasts 522 streetlights along the main road, accompanied by a six-kilometer stretch of flowers and over 3,000 trees lining the route. The scenic drive makes visitors feel as if they are moving through a living painting.

Seventy-seven previously abandoned houses have been revitalized into countryside homestays, supermarkets, cafés, and restaurants. Visitors can now enjoy both rural and modern life here.

TuGuachong has also become a popular, picturesque spot for social media photoshoots.

This year, the village planted over 1,000 acres of once-idle farmland with sunflowers, hydrangeas, and golden chrysanthemums.

From August through October, fields of hydrangeas bloom like a vibrant, dreamlike sea of colors, attracting hundreds of people daily to capture the scenery.

The thriving rural tourism industry has breathed new life into TuGuachong. Since June, the village has welcomed over 50,000 visitors, launching a fresh model for rural tourism with its unique countryside lodgings.
