Nima Ciren started livestreaming with his smartphone last November. Nima is a young Zang folk from Ludian county in Yunnan province, an area known for its high-quality wild caterpillar fungus and matsutake mushrooms. In less than six months, his monthly sales surpassed one million yuan.

"Livestreaming e-commerce has opened a door to for remote mountain villages in high-altitude regions, giving us more confidence in the comprehensive revitalization of rural areas," said Nima Ciren.

Tian Xiaoyu, a mushroom seller in northeastern Fujian, has sold his products to customers nationwide through e-commerce livestreaming. His Douyin account has about 5 million followers now, and in a single livestream session, he can sell over 600,000 packs of mushrooms. His success also provides employment to nearly 300 villagers in the surrounding area.

More than 4.7 billion orders of agroproducts are sold through various livestreaming e-commerce platforms on Douyin each year nowadays. 13 million packages containing agricultural products are shipped nationwide every day on average.
