Inspired by the 2021 Yunnan elephants’ northbound journey that drew global attention, the YICF has been held twice in Yunnan, emerging as a platform for representatives from media outlets, think tanks and international organizations across the globe to forge a vision for the international communication cooperation.

The third forum will bring together leaders of major global media outlets, government officials, chief photographers of world-renowned photo agencies to engage in in-depth discussions under the theme "Cooperation and New Paths for Future International Communication."

Yunnan aims to be a most beautiful province and a pioneer in building eco-civilization in China. In addition to attending the plenary sessions, delegates to the international media meeting and forum will also explore Yunnan’s unique cultural landscapes, experience the unique rainforest scenery and diverse culture in Xishuangbanna.
